Home alone with Big Brother
Wednesday, January 04, 2006 (UMST)

FORMER child star Macaulay Culkin may no longer be cute, but he has just signed on as a contestant with British reality show Celebrity Big Brother.

Producers of the overdone fishbowl show are hoping Culkin will reveal all about his “friendship” with pop exile Michael Jackson.

The Home Alone star, now 25, was reportedly picked because of his troubled childhood and his relationship with Jackson who was last year acquitted in California of child molestation charges.

A source at Britain’s Channel 4 said: "This is a great coup for us.  And because of his friendship with Michael Jackson, you're almost getting two for the price of one.”

"We were desperate to bag Macaulay because we want some big name Americans who will be controversial and have a chequered history … He fits the bill nicely because so much has happened to him in his young life.”

"But more importantly he has been privy to Jacko's private world at Neverland," the gossipy source said.

Culkin will reportedly join basketball star Dennis Rodman and wardrobe malfunctionist Anna Nicole Smith on the classy show.
